Research Interests
- Elemental and isotope distribution in mafic layered intrusions; their emplacement history in space and time, and how we can use them to decipher the depleted mantle evolution.
- High-precision dating using Rb-Sr and Lu-Hf. Both systems bear a great potential to date rocks that are associated with high or low temperature events. I use MC-ICPMS (in-situ and solutions) and TIMS instruments for this.
- Tracing crustal evolution using radiogenic isotope tracers and trace elemental abundances, in the Hadean, and in-between.
- I study island arc volcanics to get a better understanding of the processes that cause geochemical variations in arc related igneous rocks, and to understand crustal formation in general.
