Primary Research Skills and Experience

 

  • High-pressure experimental petrology, mainly using piston-cylinder presses (up to 6.5 GPa), belt apparatus (up to 6.5 GPa) and multi-anvil apparatus (>6.5 GPa).
  • Range of micro-analytical techniques applied to experimental and natural samples (electronprobe microanalysis, LA-ICPMS, synchrotron-based XANES)

1999: Awarded Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship for 9 months, with 3-month resumption awarded in 2006.
